Columbia Road had a retainer agreement with a consultancy to maintain their website, for a limited number of hours per month. The site was built with Nuxt.js and Contentful, in three languages (English, Swedish, and Norwegian), and provided a web front for multiple offices. Several blogs, one per language, were hosted on HubSpot's CMS and integrated with the main site.

I was the sole employee servicing this retainer, working on the side during the last year of my master studies, and keeping the project later as a freelancer too. Spanning three years, it has been one of my longest-running projects to date!

As a retainer, I supported the client with all their needs for the website. I mostly used the complex but flexible headless content structure in Contentful to create new pages and content on the client's demand, and built or improved components when needed. I also fixed bugs, integrated analytics services, and dramatically increased the website's performance, for example by leveraging Nuxt.js's "hybrid" navigation capabilities (using client-side navigation after an initial SSR page load).

One particular achievement was to provide a seamless experience when switching between the main site and the HubSpot blog on different platforms, by extracting the main site's main menu component as a standalone Vue app that could be embedded in the HubSpot blog as well.
